How to Train, or Release, Your Dragon

Mike Emrick, during game one of the Western Conference finals between the Blackhawks and the Sharks:

"They (San Jose) have definitely exercised their dragons."

Okay, waddaya think? Is this a phrase I've never heard of? Do teams have to get their 'dragons' ready for the playoffs? Is this like calling your feet 'dogs', and when they're soar they're 'barking'?

Or was he trying to say EXORCISE, as in 'exorcise' your demons, but he said 'dragons' instead?

Is 'exorcise your inner dragons' a saying that I've just never heard of? Is it a Canadian thing?
